Finding Clarity in the Overwhelm

Let’s face it, the information age is here, and we are doubling the available amount of information at an extraordinary speed. You can now view over 4 billion web sites on the Internet, and globally we’re creating an environment of fast food, Quicken Programs, and Day Runners. You can find products claiming to help you lose 10 pounds in a week or make a million dollars in a month. In the fast-paced environment of business the weather changes quickly. Are you prepared?

The other day I decided to turn my attention into this need for speed. I saw a fellow Coach marketing “to be more, do more, and have more.” One client shared with me that he was “running” late, another client discussed how he will never catch up, and a family member told me he doesn’t know how to relax anymore.

This constant rushing and racing to do more in the business world creates overload and fogginess and may ultimately lead you into dark and dreary circumstances: heart attack, divorce, or financial worries to name a few.

So how do you counterbalance and manage everything?
First, see if you can take some time to connect with your Spirit each day, not just at home but at work. This will help you avoid rushing through your day and eliminate the high possibility of making a mistake that could take hours to fix.

Next, learn to delegate and eliminate tasks from your schedule. The items on your to-do list will not magically disappear; however, by asking for support or choosing not to do things, you will create more time for yourself.

Finally, set some time to prioritize what is most important to you. If you spend all your time getting where you are going, you will not have any time to just enjoy being alive.

So, you may be wondering, “How do I continue to find clarity amidst the overload of business?”

Join the upcoming 90-day course called Eye of the Hurricane. It starts Thursday July 22nd and is going to fill fast.

Wisdom Flashes on "Finding Clarity..."

  • Find clarity by taking some time to connect with your Spirit several times a day. This can be as easy as taking some deep breaths or taking a walk around the building.
  • Find clarity by delegating a task to someone else. Usually someone in each circle is waiting to take on more responsibility.
  • Find clarity by eliminating tasks from your to-do list. Not all items can be high priority. What can be put off this week, this month, or this year for another time?
  • Find clarity by having time scheduled to play. Often it is easy to forget to have some fun without any goals in mind. Look into your schedule this week, and see if you can find some time for fun and play.

Your comments and feedback contribute to my continued success and are always greatly appreciated.

Wishing you a prosperous month,

Jason Stein
