Feeding Your Soul
I was working late into the night a few
weeks ago, putting some final touches on a new project, when I heard
myself say, "If I just work harder, then I'll get more money."
This is an old thought pattern that never delivers on its promise,
and I know that, when I can release my doubts of worthiness, all the
needs of my life are satisfied. So I put the game aside for a moment
and began to contemplate what my soul needed. Immediately, the phrase
"connection to nature" came to me. I took a deep breath,
and after a wave of peace hit me, I remembered that the more I can
tune into what my soul needs, the more effortlessly business flows
out and the more abundantly cash flows in. I then pondered, "What
can I do to feed my soul." I returned to my computer and scheduled
some time to be out in nature. I am finding that the "working
harder" way of existing is a common response to the demands of
the business world, and many professionals are not feeding their souls
as their stress slowly grinds away at their health and happiness.
Imagine for a moment that feeding your
soul could feed your bank account. The paradox is that by taking time
to fill yourself up, you can manifest more finances with time to spare.
Over the course of the past few months
I have seen a direct link between clients feeding their souls and
their financial prosperity. Money is talked about in most families,
so think about this for a moment: What did your parents teach you
about money? Did they share their financial beliefs? Did they teach
you about the laws of circulation and the principles of prosperity,
or was it something never talked about?
The following process is adapted from
Mark Silver and
HeartofBusiness.com to help feed your soul and increase your prosperity:
- Find a quiet space to close your eyes, breathe,
and relax into your body.
- Look into your heart, and with your imagination,
place the idea of money there.
- What is your heart saying? Is it excited or resistant?
- What is one thing that would open your heart up
to receiving more financially?
I used this process with several clients.
Their minds told them they wanted more prosperity, but their hearts
felt heavy with the idea of working harder to receive more. After
they became more aware of their resistance to increasing their incomes,
one client was able to feed her soul and received a significant raise,
while another was given a new job opportunity with an increase in
salary.
All of my coaching clients receive training
into feeding their souls, and as a result, they enrich their businesses
and personal lives. If you are ready to start taking action to create
