In This Issue: ---- Part 2 –*Click Here For The Best Business Expense Ever* Tugging For Attention (99 seconds) Have you had a loss in your workplace recently? Perhaps it is the broken trust of a professional’s word, the layoff off a close co-worker, or even the death of a colleague. You may be trying to push forward and get through your day, but the grief is nagging in the back of your mind like a fish hook which keeps tugging for your attention. We all have been taught that the workplace is the most inappropriate place to grieve and show pain and vulnerability; however, ironically, your workplace is the place you spend most of your life. It is a myth that you can just shut off feelings of grief and loss at the flip of a switch. Loss is an inevitable part of life. Like flushing your first goldfish down the drain, you become aware that there are occurrences in life we may never fully understand. What if you could create a working environment that honors the transition of loss as much as it embraces birthdays? Now I’m not talking about group therapy or having people get up in front of their colleagues and cry, but imagine, just for a moment, that you could bring humanness back into your work world. This week if you have experienced a loss at work -whether big or small, give yourself permission and compassion to be authentic about your feelings. You may be quite surprised at the support that shows up when you allow that authenticity to happen. Wishing you a Happy Monday, Jason |
