Heart Ignorance (113 Seconds)

Do you ever have a conflict between your heart and head?  You may really want that promotion or new client; however given the opportunity it just doesn’t feel right in your heart.

You ignore the signs and go with desire, but breakdowns keep occurring and you are left frustrated and wondering why on earth is my life so challenging,

Several years ago I was given the opportunity to bring practice management skills to healers across the country. 

During the first meeting with this National Company, I saw red flags, which gave me some trepidation; however my desire to give trainings on a national level was so enticing I accepted the offer immediately.

For the next six months I built a power point presentation, honed in my speaking skills, and was ready to impact the masses. 

My excitement continued to push through any thought to reflect and check in with my heart.  Even when I was asked to pay hundreds of dollars out of my own pocket to have my presentation reviewed by a consultant, I refused to listen to the quiet voice in my heart which said, "Hey, this may not be the right place for you."

One week before we were to go live this National Company decided to close their doors and bid me farewell.

I was crushed, angry, and frustrated ready to have a temper tantrum that would have a 3 year old would envious, when I realized my heart had been trying to tell me all along that this was not the right fit for me.

I invite you to look at your life this week and see where you are not listening to your heart with your work, partnerships, and beliefs.
