In This Issue: ---- Part 2 – Come support OutsideIn - Click Here For Details! Running on Empty (130 seconds) I was recently at breakfast with a fast paced sales director from a local technology company. Now this guy is no slacker. He puts in 60+ hour weeks and is definitely a visionary as well as a success here in Portland. Yet, like many of my clients, he feels that if he slows down or delegates more of his work, his team will be upset with him and ultimately the company goals will suffer. The million dollar question is “How do you give your all in business and still have time for self care?” The truth is – you can’t. You can’t give all your time and energy to business without depleting your mental, physical, and spiritual resources. So, if giving everything you have all the time is going to deplete you, it may be better to ask the question– “How full is my tank right now and if I’m running on empty, what can I do to fill myself up?” After working with hundreds of clients individually and in seminars, I know that if you don’t stop and check in with your own tank you will end up facing some pretty heavy consequences. Common sense?? Yes. However, because we only spend a flash of time looking in the mirror and the rest of our waking hours seeing the needs of those around us, you might forget about the most important person in your life--You! This week check in on how full your self-tank is. If it is headed towards emptyl-- don’t pass go-- don’t collect $200…. Stop! and make the time to take some time for your own Self Care. If you don't know where or how to begin block out some time on your calendar right now for an urgent appoint with You. Wishing you a Happy Monday, Jason |
