Are you feeling isolated and alone like an alien that has landed on a planet of people you don’t fit in with? 

You find yourself in a workplace environment that has become a toxic wasteland filled with demands and deadlines and you begin to feel that the world will cease to exist if you do not complete these tasks immediately.

As a professional it is human to feel separate from others at times; however, is your focus on your own feelings of being different ultimately causing more separation than connection?  These feelings of separation can grow to a sense of isolation and aloneness which will affect all relationships in your life--business and personal.

With millions of websites and thousands of books on Self Help you can easily get overwhelmed with information on trying to help yourself out of this dis-connect. 

Doing a Google search on "Self Help" I found 298 million websites in a nineteenth of a second. Where do you start to find the answer to this separateness?

Maybe we could learn more simply from Mother Teresa.  Here was a women who worked all day every day and had unlimited energy in finding purpose and creating work that she wanted to go to.  She was truly connected to her world.

What was Mother Teresa’s Secret?

She knew the importance of humans sharing their hearts.

It is true that each of us is unique, different, and at times feels separated.  It is also true that sharing our hearts and gifts with the world gives us a sense of purpose and fulfillment. As we share from our hearts we become connected in a deep and real way to our world….and our workplace.

So this week if you are focused on another dose of Self Help because you feel separated, remember Mother Teresa’s Self Help Secret and share your heart with someone else.  You may find that you are never alone when you live a heart centered life.
