In This Issue:
Let Go my EGO I remembered a commercial from when I was a child about two people struggling to take possession of a single waffle stating, "Let go my Eggo." I have been thinking how our work days mimics this phrase by saying, "Let go my Ego". Feeling a sense of scarcity and moments of insecurity can be common when your internal dialogue is chatting away with feelings of competition and resistance to the changes around you. You may begin to discover that you're more attached to how things should or shouldn't be than being able to relax and enjoy the ride. It can be challenging to continue to seek out the positives when you feel like you’re consistently taking one step forward and two steps back. Leaving your office at the end of the day wondering if you are actually making a difference and secretly wishing you had a job like being barista somewhere on a small island in the tropics. One reason you may not be moving forward at the pace you'd like is that instead of having a hold of your ego, your ego actually has a hold on you. Somewhere along the way you've made up this notion that you ARE your job or you ARE your business and each struggle that happens in the business is a direct impact on your own worthiness. So the million dollar question is how do I "Let go my Ego"? You might try focusing on sharing acts of kindness instead of just hitting the ground running with your ego running the show. Perhaps, it will help by beginning each workday with a thought like, "Today is an opportunity to express kindness instead of competition, acknowledgement in place of jealousy". Each of us has an innate ability to make someone's day. We spend so much time at work, why not spread the wealth by sharing your kindness with someone today. Last Thursday 10 more people experienced business synergy and wanted more. I've designed a six week class in groups of three which will have business people exploring, creating, and manifesting dynamic synergistic relationships. If you are ready to create more visibility regarding your products or services, then this is the class for you. If you are feeling jealous of someone else, see if you can wish them well instead of allowing the jeasousy create seperation. Stop worrying about what is next, create some fun and enjoy the ride. If your ego is constantly nagging and sharing thoughts of scarcity, tell your ego "thanks for sharing" and remember something in your life you're grateful for. Share your kindness with others. This will open your heart and make your work place more enjoyable. – Aesop
