Welcome
to the Monday Morning Minute
HO HO Holiday Overwhelm? Hi this is Jason Stein and I am wondering if you are feeling overwhelmed this holiday season with juggling your job, buying gifts, and managing end of year finances? Like many you may be suffering in silence as you put on a cheery face and muster through all those things on your “to do” list. The challenge is as you accomplish things on your list, you may not feel “the overwhelm” dissipate at all. The simplest and easiest way to battle overwhelm, that I know of, is to bring your attention to the present moment. By focusing on the right here right now, your worries about later today, tomorrow, or yesterday vanish. One way to render mindfulness during your busy day is by placing an inspirational quote or sacred scripture around your work area and read it silently to yourself. This will help you reconnect your awareness to this present moment and bring joy to all parts of the holiday season. Here is the quote I have next to my computer. “I dwell in Possibility” –Emily Dickenson Wishing you all Happy Holidays, Jason Stein |
