My Automated Life

This past week, I have had the opportunity to buy my groceries, purchase a movie ticket, and pay for parking at the Portland Airport without making any human contact.

With the fast pace of technology more automated service will become available each month.

Although there are several benefits to technological progress, we often forget to see some of the costs.

Will there be a time when we no longer see or hear the human beings with whom we do business?

This week “try on” being old fashion. Write someone a handwritten note instead of sending an email or set up a face to face meeting instead of having the meeting over the phone. Like anything the balance of the old and the new is always good business.
